Double Announcement!

Friends,

Precisely one year ago today, cameras first rolled on The Meaning of “Choice”. It is with great pleasure that I now announce the official DVD release!

I have more web design work to do, so you’ll be seeing some changes in the website in the coming days, but you can now purchase The Meaning of “Choice” on DVD, complete with cast interviews, deleted/alternate scenes, and more!

Which brings me to my second announcement; the new Freedom Warrior Productions website! It’s still under construction, but you’ll find more information on Freedom Warrior Productions and our upcoming projects!

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the cast and crew who worked so hard to make this film a reality! Without the volunteer effort of everyone involved, this film never would have been made.

I would be remiss if I failed to mention also that God’s Providence was also evident all throughout the production. Without His guidance and blessing, this project would have faded away into oblivion!

Now it is up to you, the viewing public, to rally around in support of our mission here at FWP, that is, to create quality, God honoring entertainment with sound ideological foundations; truly great films that need no disclaimer because of foul language, defiling visual elements, or perverted worldview.

The Meaning of “Choice” is FWP’s first serious film project. There are many more to come, and we look forward to moving ever closer to our goal as our production values and technical quality climb with each production!

DVD Release Delayed; Additional Post Work Completed!

We are pleased to announce that Joshua Moore has completed some much needed additional postproduction work! His contributions to the film are much appreciated!

Announcement!

Freedom Warrior Productions is pleased to announce that the website for The Meaning of "Choice" is up and running!

Some pages are still under construction, but the site is functional.

The trailer is available on YouTube and GodTube, and will soon appear on the website itself.

Arrangements are now underway for the nationwide release in November, so if you or anyone you know would like to host a screening of The Meaning of "Choice", please send an e-mail to David@MeaningofChoice.com with "Screening" in the subject line.

The November release depends on people like you to spread the word and organize screenings in Churches and communities across the country!

Cast and Crew Screening!

Freedom Warrior Productions is pleased to announce that “The Meaning of ‘Choice’” is nearing completion!

We held a cast and crew screening on the evening of Friday, August 24. The screening went well, although a few key cast and crew members were unable to attend.

After a few adjustments and minor changes, the film will hopefully enjoy a nationwide wave of screenings in November organized by Churches, pro-life organizations, and even individuals, to be followed by a DVD release sometime in the following couple of months.

We need you to make this happen! Keep an eye out here in September for a full website, trailers, and information about how you can help organize screenings across the country!

It's A Wrap!

Principal photography for The Meaning of “Choice” wrapped Saturday evening, bringing to a conclusion a total of five grueling days of shooting.


God’s hand was evident throughout production, from forcing us to change our planned schedule (avoiding serious unexpected problems later) to bringing in a cloud to diffuse the sun for a single shot, (thus preserving continuity in one of our outdoor scenes) His blessing has enabled us to finish principal photography with a high level of confidence that we have what we need to finish the film!


I also need to thank the parents of our younger cast and crew members for enabling them to help on set, as well as all of the people who pitched in somewhere to make this production a reality.

Everyone worked hard, and although most of them had little experience in this type of production, they did a great job! It was a pleasure to work with each one of them!

Of course, I have to mention that my Mom has done an unbelievable job of set design and catering, and the rest of the family has been a tremendous help as well.

We now move into postproduction! Watch for trailers and sneak peeks here on the website!

Casting Announcement!

Freedom Warrior Productions is pleased to announce that Clare Michalik will play the part of Angela in the upcoming short film “The Meaning of ‘Choice’”.

Clare has enjoyed acting since her debut as the donkey in her 3rd grade Christmas play. In high school, she has acted in Macbeth, Jabberwock, and Our Town, where she played the role of Emily.

Clare is currently studying Nursing at Madonna University. One of seven children, she resides in Dearborn, Michigan.

Audition Information

Auditions will take place this Saturday (April 21) from 1:30 to 5:30 at 1775 N. Lapeer Rd., next to the Charter office. (It's a white building with a green roof on the West side of M24--the unit we will be using has a 'For Lease' sign in the window.)

Each interview and audition should take between 10 and 20 minutes. If you are interested in trying out, please call me at (248) 895-3753 to schedule your audition as soon as possible.

Auditions will be taped for later review, and casting announcements for most roles should be made next week.

Our set photographer will be in attendance to take a few publicity shots for use after casting decisions have been announced.
